Yareli Arizmendi
Yareli Arizmendi is an actress, writer, award-winning producer, and social activist. She is best known for her roles as Rosaura in Como agua para chocolate and as Lila Rodríguez in A day without a Mexican, which she co-wrote and co-produced. With more than 25 years of professional activity she has also starred in House, Six Feet Under, Heroes, 24, and Medium, and has narrated countless audio books, such as American Dirt, Los Detectives Salvajes, and The Distance Between Us. Her Ted Talk, Making the Invisible Visible, makes her professional objective very clear. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Yareli has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s in theatre from the University of California, San Diego.
